Viviendo la vida loca en México

The extreme team challenges, hookups and fights are back with MTV's reality series of the Gauntlet III.

Thirty-two contestants from previous Real World and Road Rules seasons compete to win awesome prizes like the latetest phones and technological gadgets as well as a chance at splitting $400,000 amongst three members.

It's the Rookies (newcomers to the game in blue) versus the Veterans (red). Veterans usually seem to start the game off with the upper-hand because they have been around block, therefore knowing what to expect.

The first episode aired last Wednesday Jan. 23. The first challenged began before they even got to settle down in their tropical-paradise-of-a-home in Mexico.

A game of tug-of-war resulted in the Veterans once again becoming the victors. Instead of just simply pulling on the rope cleverly devised a strategy that propelled their victory.

Controversial characters and cut-throat personalities like CT and Coral already started to butt heads. A lesbian relationship is developing between Evelyn and Brooke, who just came to terms with her newfound sexuality.

This season seems to be due for a hot cast forming racy relationships while also vying for the grand prize of $400,000. With a large sum of money at stake, friendships, relationships, alliances will not only be made but be broken; and that's when the excitement kicks in.

Yeah, I've watched the show about 3 times because my roommates watch it, but it didnt do that much for me. It seemed a little like a lose/lose situation because the veterans are much more advanced and experienced than the rookies, but maybe they'll make a comeback...the interesting relationships were worth watching though.

I actually love this show and watch it every season! I think the rookies are in for a fight because they keep losing and or course losing members because of it.....THE VETS are gonna win this for sure!........Q

Surprisingly, I do not watch the show but I feel that you have done a good job with including pictures and some detailed information about the contents of the show just to show what it is about for those like me who don't watch it!

Just judging from these pictures, this competition looks like a lot of good ole downright fun.

Maybe we ought to have a class outing and do a tug of war contest.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time!! My roommate got me hooked to it a few years ago. I bet the veterans will win too. The rookies are losing members so quickly that they are starting to fade away.
